ReplyDeleteI posted twice this month. I cannot tell you how much I love Hugh's (we're now on a first-name basis) recipes. He is opening up a whole new world to me. I am looking forward to checking out everyone's site tonight to see what you've made and commenting. KathyVB and I made the exact same two recipes this month. I like her taste!

Mary, delightful posts - thank you for all your support, dear friend!
DeleteNothing wrong with being on a first name basis with Mr. Whittingstall - I am quite sure he does not mind!
Love, Andrea
Hi Mary, tried commenting on your site - did not seem to work so I will comment here:
DeleteWasn't the beet tarte tatin fabulous?!! What a wonderful way to serve beets. And the bread, it was surprisingly delicious as well. With all these wonderful new vegetable cookbooks, I can see why someone would want to turn vegetarian. Though I am with you, I love a good steak or burger - and a really good cold beer after a long hike is the best!
Another great month, love the simplicity of Hugh's recipe, here is my link.

Betsy, wonderful - thank you for participating!
DeleteI'm not quite on first name basis yet with Hugh, but I do love his recipes. All of them work, and many of them are outstanding. Do you have any of his other cookbooks? I'm thinking I might need some!

Jora, looking forward to visting all the blogs tomorrow morning for comments - you might want to take a closer look at the last two recipe I wrote about - from the new cookbook that was published on September 11th.
DeleteManaged most of the October recipes and then some...
ReplyDeleteJora: you must have known that I was going to include two recipes from the latest River Cottage cookbook "Light & Easy" - certainly worth adding to your Christmas wish list.

Hello Andrea, thank you for your efforts towards another month cooking from River Cottage veg everyday. It turns out our visitors from Wales last week also have a similar River Cottage veg book!
